Case study · 4,000 sqft

Super Vege — Surrey. Five systems, seven days, one crew, one quote.

A 4,000 sqft restaurant needed cameras, audio, menu boards, a point-of-sale, and a kitchen display — installed between sign-off and grand opening. Here's the play.

The brief: a 4,000 sqft restaurant opening in seven days. Five systems needed — 8-camera Hikvision PoE surveillance with NVR, four commercial menu boards, a Sonos-connected audio system, a full POS + KDS stack, and a network backbone to hold it all together. The catch: one quote, no trades, no time.

Rapid Pro surveyed on day one, quoted on day two, and had the crew on site by day three. Cameras and network backbone up on day four. Menu boards and audio on day five. POS and KDS on day six. Final commissioning and staff training on day seven. The restaurant opened the next morning.

"Garry is the only person in Surrey I trust to walk into a restaurant and just figure it out." — Owner, Super Vege

★★★★★

"Garry mounted a 75" TV on a brick fireplace wall and hid every single cable in the wall — no surface conduit, no compromise. I'd been told by two other companies it couldn't be done cleanly."

Lindsey L.Surrey · 75" TV + soundbar on brick
★★★★★

"Two TVs on tile, one above the fireplace, both with the cables routed through the wall. Showed up when he said he would, finished when he said he would, charged what he quoted. That's a rare thing in this business."

Vinny B.Langley · 2 TV mounts on tile
★★★★★

"I supplied my own mount and bracket — not everyone will install hardware you bought elsewhere. Garry did, next day, and pointed out a compatibility issue I'd have never caught."

Raunak C.Burnaby · Owner-supplied mount, next day
★★★★★

"Garry is the only person in Surrey I trust to walk into a restaurant and just figure it out. Cameras, menu boards, POS, the whole stack. He opened our store and still answers the phone."

Frequently asked

Common questions before booking.

Do you do free quotes?
Yes. Site visits are 30–45 minutes, no charge, no obligation. We measure, photograph, and write a written quote within 48 hours of the visit.
Are you licensed for low-voltage work in BC?
Yes. Rapid Pro holds BC Security Business Licence #PRL-2009-0847. For any 120V wiring we pull a Technical Safety BC permit and have it inspected.
How fast can you install a 4-camera wired system?
Most 4-camera residential installs complete in a single day. Larger commercial systems (8–16 cameras) typically take 2–3 days on site.
What's the typical cost for CCTV in Surrey?
A 4-camera Hikvision PoE system with NVR and mobile app setup starts at $1,800 all-in. Pricing scales with camera count, resolution (2K vs 4K), and cable run length.
Do you work on strata or rental properties?
Yes. We provide documentation for strata councils and work with property managers on access scheduling, common-area work, and tenant notification.
What warranty do you offer?
Two years on parts and labour for all installs. Manufacturer warranty on hardware (typically 3–5 years) is passed through. Cable runs carry a lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as you own the home.
Do I need a permit?
Low-voltage (under 30V) usually no. The moment a new 120V circuit, outdoor receptacle, or hardwired PoE switch is involved, we pull a Technical Safety BC permit and have it inspected.
Can you match a competitor's quote?
We don't play price-match games. We are sometimes the lowest quote, sometimes the highest. What we guarantee: the price we give is the price you pay, that we never sub-contract, and that Garry personally takes your call after the install.
Do you offer payment plans?
For jobs over $2,500, we split the invoice 50/50 — half on materials delivery, half on completion. For larger commercial projects, net-15 or net-30 terms. No third-party finance, no interest.
What happens after the install?
You get a 30-day check-in text from Garry, a 1-year warranty reminder, and direct line to him for the life of the system. No ticket system, no call centre.
