FAQ

Common questions before booking.

Do you do free quotes?
Yes. Site visits are 30–45 minutes, no charge, no obligation. We measure, photograph, and write a written quote within 48 hours of the visit.
Are you licensed for low-voltage work in BC?
Yes. Rapid Pro holds BC Security Business Licence #PRL-2009-0847. For any 120V wiring we pull a Technical Safety BC permit and have it inspected.
How fast can you install a 4-camera wired system?
Most 4-camera residential installs complete in a single day. Larger commercial systems (8–16 cameras) typically take 2–3 days on site.
What's the typical cost for CCTV in Surrey?
A 4-camera Hikvision PoE system with NVR and mobile app setup starts at $1,800 all-in. Pricing scales with camera count, resolution (2K vs 4K), and cable run length.
Do you work on strata or rental properties?
Yes. We provide documentation for strata councils and work with property managers on access scheduling, common-area work, and tenant notification.
What warranty do you offer?
Two years on parts and labour for all installs. Manufacturer warranty on hardware (typically 3–5 years) is passed through. Cable runs carry a lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as you own the home.
Do I need a permit?
Low-voltage (under 30V) usually no. The moment a new 120V circuit, outdoor receptacle, or hardwired PoE switch is involved, we pull a Technical Safety BC permit and have it inspected.
Can you match a competitor's quote?
We don't play price-match games. We are sometimes the lowest quote, sometimes the highest. What we guarantee: the price we give is the price you pay, that we never sub-contract, and that Garry personally takes your call after the install.
Do you offer payment plans?
For jobs over $2,500, we split the invoice 50/50 — half on materials delivery, half on completion. For larger commercial projects, net-15 or net-30 terms. No third-party finance, no interest.
What happens after the install?
You get a 30-day check-in text from Garry, a 1-year warranty reminder, and direct line to him for the life of the system. No ticket system, no call centre.
